On June 11th, the project for the development of the Strategy for promoting the main socio-biodiversity clusters in the Legal Amazon of Brazil was launched. The project is being implemented by Sudam with the support of the UNDP.

The 17th and 18th November Carlos Tarrasón spent two days at World Intellectual Property Organization – WIPO in Geneva sharing experiences on how GIs are powerful instruments for economic development and how to improve it. There were delegations from Pakistan, Argel, Uganda and Brazil.
