Innovation Roadmap for obtaining bioactives and bioproducts through biorefinery processes, valuing agricultural, aquacultural and industrial waste and by-products in the northern region of Peru.

From March to September 2022, we carry out the project to obtain bioactives and bioproducts through biorefinery processes for the valorization of agricultural, aquaculture and industrial waste in the Northern region of Peru.

The project is promoted by ProInnóvate in Peru and executed by Camposol-Marinasol, the largest agro-export company in Peru, in collaboration with regional support institutions.

Consulting service included: making a diagnosis of the current situation of the business group and the agribusiness and aquaculture sector in the global market; identify and prioritize competitive, technological and innovation gaps based on technology watch analysis and benchmarking; and develop a roadmap that contains a portfolio of Innovation projects that proposes strategic opportunities, prioritizes measures and/or actions, as well as the necessary resources, thus defining an action plan to achieve the vision and cover the identified gaps.

• Review and analysis of cutting-edge technological systems at a global level (Technological Surveillance), aimed at obtaining bioactives and bioproducts through biorefinery processes.
• Review of the current technological developments within the business group (level of progress, impact on the business and measurement indicators) related to the recovery of by-products and/or waste.
• Comparative evaluation (benchmarking) of Circular Economy initiatives carried out by companies in the same sector at a national and international level, which serves as a point of reference for future strategies to be applied within the business group.
• Workshop to identify and prioritize competitive, technological and innovation gaps. It includes the alignment of the gaps with the corporate vision of the companies to ensure the sustainability of the proposals.
