We developed the consulting service to improve the product design and development service for the CITE Agroindustrial Majes.
In June and July 2024 we developed this project for the ITP as part of the ProInnóvate Strategic Strengthening Project for extension and technology transfer centers with financing from the IDB. The project has been executed by Carlos Tarrasón, director of Cluster Consulting, and Pedro Prieto, international specialist in innovation and development of food products.
The project was structured in 5 phases:
- Phase 1: Development of the work plan
- Phase 2: Diagnosis of the situational status of product design and development services
- Phase 3: Capacity building for product design and development staff
- Phase 4: Design of strategies to improve the offer of product design and development services
- Phase 5: Strategy Implementation Workshop
The result of the project was a team trained in the potential of innovation in products from the territory's priority chains and a new methodology, more practical and oriented to the demands of businessmen. To this end, the latest innovations in the food sector and functional ingredients, foodtech, protein alternatives, food design, to new business models that focus on consumers concerned about health, sustainability and the social component were addressed.
