During the 26th June 2023 took place in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) a strategy and competitiveness course through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ). Working on a real cluster initiative case with 20 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG).

During the 17thNovember 2023 took place in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) a strategy and competitiveness course through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ). Working on a real cluster initiative case with 20 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG).

On October 12-15, 2021, Carlos Tarrasón conducted the first training for APEM and other institutions of the Piura mango cluster. The training consisted of training on the policy and methodologies of clusters to train the APEM team as executing entity and also the institutional and business leaders at the beginning of the execution of the initiative to improve the competitiveness of the mango cluster in Piura, Peru. Basic concepts were transmitted and work was done with a practical case and real examples that replicate the cluster initiative process and allow participants to participate from the beginning with full knowledge of the process.

The municipality of Teresina hired Cluster Consulting to execute a Cluster Competitiveness Program in the city of Teresina, to develop the clusters of health services, fashion clothing and education services, as well as the training of the municipality and partner institutions (SEBRAE -PI, FIEPI, BNB, ..) on issues of competitiveness and clusters. The program started on 27th July 2020 and will develop competitiveness strategies for the short, medium and long term. In the current situation, clusters will serve as a working unit to provide solutions to the most urgent demands of the sectors and support economic reactivation.  

On June 18-19, 2019, Carlos Tarrasón conducted the first training for CEDEPAS and other institutions of the Cajamarca dairy products cluster. The training consisted of training on the policy and methodologies of clusters to train the CEDEPAS team as executing entity and also the institutional and business leaders at the beginning of the execution of the initiative to improve the competitiveness of the dairy products cluster in Cajamarca, Peru. Basic concepts were transmitted and work was done with a practical case and real examples that replicate the cluster initiative process and allow participants to participate from the beginning with full knowledge of the process.

On July 3, 2019, Carlos Tarrasón held the second training for SEBRAE-MG, this time focusing on innovation, so that the institution will be able support companies in Minas Gerais, Brazil. The capacitation consisted of a training on concepts, policies and instruments for business and regional innovation, Industry 4.0, and also included examples of successful initiatives from other countries and instruments for the strategic construction of a sector or collective.

On May 13th and 14th, 2019, Carlos Tarrasón held the first training in Competitiveness for SEBRAE-MG. The capacitation consisted of a training on concepts, policies and instruments for the competitiveness of territories, and included concepts such as clusters and GVC and tools for strategic construction for a sector or collective.

The 17th May 2018, Carlos Tarrasón presented in the webinar "Strategy construction of a cluster initiative I" where he shared his experience with the Latin American TCI members. Carlos Tarrasón is the Brazil representative in this chapter and helps to communicate the concept and best practices in clusters.  See presentation here

 

 

 

 

During the 30thOctober 2017 took place in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) a strategy and competitiveness course through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ). Working on a real cluster initiative case with 30 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG).

On April 5, 2017, Carlos Tarrasón led the workshop 1 "Increasing the impact and sustainability of cluster organizations" at a one-day workshop "How to manage a cluster initiative: from plans to actions", led by the Chamber of Commerce from Medellín to Antioquia, TCI Network Latin America Chapter and the Cluster community of Medellín. Participants included directors and group leaders from around 15 cities in Colombia and representatives from Ecuador. It was another step in strengthening the sustainability of clusters and their impact on regional competitiveness in Latin America.

During the 24th November of 2016 took place in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) a strategy and competitiveness course through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ). Working on a real cluster initiative case with 22 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG).

On March 1 and 2, 2016, Carlos Tarrasón held the closing training for AGDI - Gaucho Association of Development and Investment Promotion. After a year and a half of the project, the training allowed Clusters Managers and participants to maintain the development of Clusters after the completion of the consultancy for three Cluster Initiatives. For this, the training counted on practical cases, training in Cluster methodology, strategy and marketing.

 

 

On the 16th and 17th December 2014, Carlos Tarrasón held the first training for AGDI - Gaucho Association of Development and Investment Promotion. The training consisted of a training on the policy and methodologies of clusters to train the AGDI team and the clusters managers before starting the execution of three Cluster Initiatives in the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul.

During the 4thNovember 2013 took place in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) a strategy and competitiveness course through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ). Working on a real cluster initiative case with 16 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG).

During the 18th June a Strategy and Competitiveness Course was carried out at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ), on which 25 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG) worked on a real cluster initiative case.
