During the 4th November 2013 took place in the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) a strategy and competitiveness course through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ). Working on a real cluster initiative case with 16 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG).

On the 31st October 2013 a meeting was held to identify cooperation opportunities between Viçosa Food Technology cluster and the representatives from the "Feeding the Planet" European Union project, representing clusters from Holland, Italy and France. Cluster Consulting followed up the implementation of the Viçosa action plan together with SEBRAE, Exportaminas, INDI and UFV from MG.

During the 3th to 6th September 2013 we participated in the 16th Cluster World Congress, organized by TCI, in Kolding, in the region of Southern Denmark. Carlos Tarrasón, Cluster Consulting director, presented the company's experience in the following speech: "Strategy design at cluster and company level" using the exemple of Belo Horizonte bakery cluster.  See presentation. On July 11th 2013 was signed the environmental cooperation agreement, particularly for the management of solid waste, between Government of Catalonia (Departament of Territory and Sustainability, ARC) and the Government of Minas Gerais (SEDE, SEMAD, FEAM) in the administrative center of Minas Gerais Government. The agreement was facilitated by Cluster Consulting during 2012 and 2013. 

During the 18th June a Strategy and Competitiveness Course was carried out at the Federal University of Minas Gerais (UFMG) through the partnership with UFMG Consultoria Jr. (UCJ), on which 25 students from the Economics an Business School (FACE-UFMG) worked on a real cluster initiative case.

During the 26th February 2013 we presented, in FIEMG auditorium, the action plan for Belo Horizonte bakeries development to be national reference in fresh and high quality breads and foodservice.

During the 18th of December 2012 we presented, in CENTEV facility,  the action plan for the development of Viçosa as a cluster reference in Brazil in food technology.

During the 12th of December we presented, in Minas Gerais State Administrative Center, the final workshop that presented the development plans for the following clusters: Cerrado Coffee, food processing and distribution in the metropolitan region of Belo Horizonte, north of Minas Gerais fresh fruits and food technology in Viçosa. This project was developed by Exportaminas and financed by the World Bank.

During the 11th of December 2012 we presented, in FIEMG auditorium, the strategic options and future vision for the more than 1000 bakeries in Belo Horizonte.

During the 16th to 19th October 2012 we were participating in the 15th Cluster World Congress, organized by TCI, in the cities of Bilbao and San Sebastian, Basque Country. Carlos Tarrasón, Cluster Consulting director, presented the experience of Cluster Consulting in the State of Minas Gerais, Brazil, developing future place based strategies for smart specialization. Specifically, presented the experience of 4 food clusters en Minas Gerais.

During the 3rd of July 2012, the second workshop of the Food Clusters project took place in the Exportaminas headquarters. We presented the characteristics, challenges and strategies of the 4 clusters chosen to be part of the project to develop food clusters in Minas Gerais. Project lead by the Government of Minas Gerais in partnership with the World Bank.
